Kynfolk Collective is a culture-forward creative events studio and full-production partner for organizations that know their people deserve more than a well-run agenda. We help turn vision into gatherings that are strategically sound, beautifully produced, culturally grounded, and built to move people to give, act, connect, and belong.
We do not borrow from culture. We build from it. Culture is the foundation, community is the mission, and every gathering is an act of care. We create rooms that feel like home—elevated, intentional, joyful, and rooted in who your people are.

We listen for what your gathering needs to accomplish, what your community needs to feel, and what your team can realistically carry. Then we build the plan, the experience, and the infrastructure to bring it all to life.

HOW WE GOT HERE.
In 2018, our founder turned a passion into a purpose. She launched Elev8ted Events with one clear intention: to create gatherings that felt authentic, intentional, and full of care—spaces where people could feel fed, valued, and moved.
Through her work as Director of Events for the Black Church Food Security Network, she deepened her understanding of community organizing, nonprofit culture, and the kind of cultural fluency that comes from doing the work from the inside out.
Kynfolk Collective was born from that experience—not as a departure, but as an evolution and a re-emphasis of purpose. Kynfolk because kin shows up. Because folk take care of their own. Because the work has always been about people.
The name is new. The roots run deep.

Linneal Denise
Linneal Smith is the Founder and CEO of Kynfolk Collective, a Black women-led, culture-centered events studio. A big-picture dreamer with a builder’s mindset, she is known for turning ideas into a grounded plan, a realistic budget, and a room that actually exists.
Linneal pairs vision with meticulous execution. She leads strategy, story, structure, timelines, budgets, vendors, staffing, logistics, and production so community-rooted teams do not have to choose between dreaming big and executing well.
She believes every event is an opportunity to center stories, celebrate cultural aesthetics, create belonging, and make joy non-negotiable. At Kynfolk, every vision is given the care, planning, and infrastructure it needs to come to life.
